VOICE THERAPY

The Journey to Finding Your Voice Again

THERE IS HOPE

Your Voice Still Matters

Sometimes we lose our voice physically. Sometimes we lose it through hurt, rejection, criticism, failure, disappointment, fear, or simply years of believing that what we have to say no longer matters.

Voice Therapy grew out of my own journey after a stroke changed my physical voice. But I discovered something much deeper along the way:

There is more than one way to lose your voice. And there is more than one way to find it again.

This journey will help you:

  • Recognize the voices that influence your life

  • Distinguish God's voice from accusation and fear

  • Understand what may have caused you to silence your own voice

  • Begin healing the wounds that changed how you see yourself

  • Take practical steps toward rediscovering your confidence and purpose

  • Learn to use your voice well to encourage and influence others

When I HAD My Voice.

Why I LOST My Voice.

How I REDISCOVERED My Voice.

And the SECRET to REDISCOVERING YOUR VOICE again!

You don't have to become the person you used to be.

You can discover who God is calling you to become now.

I'm Denny

Dr. Denny Bates is a pastor, teacher, author, speaker, and Quality Life Coach devoted to helping people grow spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and purposefully.

For decades, he has served others through pastoral ministry, discipleship, leadership development, coaching, writing, and teaching. His education includes a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership, a Master of Divinity, and a Bachelor’s degree, along with extensive training in leadership, speaking, and coaching.

But credentials tell only part of his story.

Much of Denny’s teaching and writing has grown from lived experience. He has known seasons of meaningful ministry and seasons of deep disappointment. His journey has included leadership, rejection, transition, rebuilding, relational loss, vocational uncertainty, and the sometimes-long process of rediscovering purpose.

Then came a stroke that changed his relationship with something he had relied upon for most of his life:

His voice.

Speech therapy became more than physical rehabilitation. It became another classroom.

As Denny worked through challenges with speech, stuttering, articulation, volume, swallowing, and confidence, he began recognizing a deeper connection. Losing his physical voice reminded him of other seasons when disappointment, rejection, loss, and painful experiences had weakened his emotional and spiritual voice.

Out of that realization came VOICE THERAPY: The Journey to Finding Your Voice Again.

What began in a speech therapist’s chair became a much larger message:

There is more than one way to lose your voice—and finding it again can become part of finding your purpose again.

Today, Dr. Bates continues to write, teach, coach, and develop practical, biblically grounded resources that help people experience what he calls a Quality Life—a life increasingly shaped by spiritual vitality, emotional health, healthy relationships, purposeful living, and faithful stewardship of the gifts God has entrusted to them.

At the heart of his work is a simple conviction:

**People matter.

And their stories matter too.**

And through Voice Therapy, he adds another:

Your voice still matters.
